101
the non-emergency service for local people
Current situation:
The Northumbria Partnership is disappointed that the Home Office has decided not to further fund the 101 service. The Northumbria 101 service is operating as normal whilst the Partnership assesses the future options avilable over the course of the next few months.
This website is designed to help our stakeholders understand more about the Northumbria 101 Partnership and the service as a whole. This is not a public website.

101 - the new non-emergency number
Councils across the whole of Northumberland and Tyne and Wear have joined forces with Northumbria Police in a 14-strong partnership to help lead the way to introduce 101.
You can call 101 for information and action on community safety and anti-social behaviour issues.
101 makes it easier for you to call to report non-emergency problems and helps councils and police work closer and respond better. At the same time it is hoped it will help reduce the pressure on the 999.
101 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You can call to report:
- Drunken and rowdy groups
- Abandoned vehicles or similar
- Litter, dumping and fly tipping
- Noisy neighbours and loud parties
- Threatening and abusive behaviour
- Vandalism and graffiti
- Drug related problems
- Broken street lighting
